The finals of the men’s doubles draw at the 2022 U.S. Open features the top two teams in the draw, including one of the most successful doubles teams in recent years. Top-seeded Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury look to win their second straight U.S. Open and third major together as a team against the pairing of Neal Skupski and Wesley Koolhof who are looking to break through and win their first major title together. The last time these teams met, Ram and Salisbury won at Indian Wells earlier this year in straight sets as they look to build on that match.

It took three sets, but the top seed in the 2022 U.S. Open men’s draw made it to the finals after a win over Robert Farah and Juan Sebastián Cabal (7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (10-6)):
In their last match, Ram and Salisbury won 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 in a tough, straight-set win in California at the BNP Paribas Open. If they repeat that again today, it will be the fourth major win for the team as they continue to build their legacy.
So far through five matches, Ram and Salisbury have gone 10-2 in sets having to survive in the third set both in the quarterfinals and the semifinals.
On the other side for Koolhof and Skupski, they have gone 10-2 overall as well but closed out their quarterfinal and semifinal matches in straight sets. They have gone 2-1 in tiebreakers to get here and look to win their first doubles tournament as a team against the best team in the sport right now.
