Every women’s quarterfinal was decided in straight sets. Garcia dispatched Coco Gauff 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals.

This season Garcia, the French veteran of 11 years, has played arguably her best year as she looks to cap it off with a major win. She is up to 17th in the world with four tournament wins (one doubles) and two semifinal appearances in major tournaments.

She takes on Jabeur, who climbed up to second ranked in the world earlier this year and lost in the Wimbledon finals for the best major tournament run of her career. Now she has the chance to get to a second straight final and potentially break through with a win.

In the main event, Świątek looks to add a capper to her amazing year. She is 50-7 in singles matches and six of her career nine wins include her win at the French Open. She is 3-0 against Sabalenka, winning in straight sets each time they met.
