Day two of the quarterfinals at the 2023 Australian Open gets underway on Tuesday with two matchups left in the round on both the men’s and women’s side of the singles draw. On the men’s side, the first matchup of the day will be a battle between Americans as 20-year-old Ben Shelton takes on fellow countryman Tommy Paul at Rod Laver Arena. Shelton advanced to the quarterfinals following a five-set victory over J.J. Wolf on Sunday (6-7, 6-2, 6-7, 7-6, 6-2). Meanwhile, Paul made it to the top eight thanks to a four-set win over No. 24-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut also on Sunday (6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5).
