In the first game, the Blues dominated 6-2. It wasn’t much different for game two as they won 3-1.
It was very close though through the first two periods even at a goal apiece. Justin Faulk broke it open in the third on a power play and the defense came in clutch for the final two periods not giving up a goal to Anaheim.
Buffalo looked furious in its last game, determined to end its losing streak as the Sabres pummeled Montreal 7-2. Jeff Skinner made sure the Sabres wouldn’t leave empty-handed. He netted five points with two goals and three assists while Tage Thompson added four points of his own to earn the first star. If the Sabres play with that kind of abandon against St. Louis at home, they’ll have no problem ending the Blues’ streak.
