Max Fried will face off against Max Scherzer in the night cap. Fried is 10-3 with a 2.58 ERA. Scherzer is his vintage self even though he’s dealt with injuries with a 7-2 with a 2.13 ERA. This is a can’t miss game and the best was saved for last between these two division rivals.

The Mets didn’t make any splashy moves while the Braves added at the deadline once again highlighted by extending Austin Riley to a 10-year contract. Deadline deals are what helped push them to a World Series title last year. Will it be enough for them to close the gap with the Mets?
