This season, Charlotte has been without LaMelo Ball and is currently without Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin at the moment. Early this season, the Hornets have attempted to patchwork their team and stay competitive, but after a 2-1 start to the season, they have gone 1-9 since, including their seven-game losing streak.

In the fourth-quarter comeback, the Hornets got 10 points off the bench from Jalen McDaniels while Dennis Smith Jr. paced the offense with six points and four assists. They scored 31 points as a team and stole all of the momentum.

Then in overtime, Miami went nine-for-nine from the free-throw line to wear out Charlotte for the win in extra time.

Overall, Jimmy Butler was terrific again with 35 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals, going 13-for-15 from the free-throw line. Despite Miami’s early season struggles, Butler is putting together another terrific season on both ends of the floor.
