It’s the 13th season for Leon Rice with the Broncos, who played in their first NCAA tournament in seven years last spring after winning the Mountain West conference regular-season and tournament titles. Boise State reached the NIT quarterfinals in 2021.

The Buffs improved to 2-0 against ranked opponents on Friday with a 103-75 rout of No. 24 Texas A&M. Colorado shot 57.6% for the game and ran out to a 54-33 halftime lead. KJ Simpson scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Buffaloes while Ethan Wright scored 15 points on five-of-six shooting from three-point range in just 16 minutes.

Boise State ran away from Loyola Chicago in the second half for a 70-48 victory. Chibuzo Agbo had 24 points to pace the Broncos, while Marcus Shaver Jr. added 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals. 

Sunday’s game marks the first meeting between Colorado and Boise State on the hardwood.
