Tonight, Charlotte aims for revenge for the 3-0 loss to United on opening day as it returns to Bank of America Stadium, where it is 7-3-0 at home this season. Charlotte had posted a four-match home winning streak from the middle of March through mid-May that allowed it to be contenders for the MLS playoffs.

The hot start at home has allowed Charlotte to become the third expansion team in MLS history to win at least seven of its first 10 home matches after Chicago won eight in 1998 and Atlanta won seven in 2017.

Goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina has posted six clean sheets for Charlotte this season but has conceded a goal in seven straight matches.

United enters today off a late 2-1 win against Orlando City despite trailing heading into stoppage time. It marked the tenth time in MLS history, and third time for D.C. United, that a team entered stoppage time trailing but went on to win the match.

Four of D.C.’s last six goals have been scored after the 90th minute, including two equalizers and a game-winner.
