Dayton (3-3) couldn’t hang with NC State in the second half on Thursday while a late push for the second straight game for BYU (3-3) wasn’t quite enough to dig out of a first-half hole. That leaves the Flyers and Cougars set to meet on Friday in the seventh-place game at the Battle 4 Atlantis at Imperial Arena on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. DaRon Holmes II leads Dayton with 13.2 points per game while Toumani Camara is getting 11.2 rebounds. Fousseyni Traore paces BYU with an average of 13.0 points a game. Anthony Grant is 105-55 in his sixth season with the Flyers while Mark Pope is 71-29 in his fourth year at the helm for the Cougars.
