Wisconsin (3-0) leaves the state for the first time this season on Wednesday when the Badgers take on Dayton (3-1) in the quarterfinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Greg Gard has coached the Badgers since early in the 2015-16 season and has a record of 147-78 and has taken the program to the last three NCAA tournaments. Anthony Grant came to the Flyers in 2017 and is 105-53 since taking over, with three straight trips to the NIT. Dayton was 29-2 in the 2019-20 season but didn’t get a chance at postseason play due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Flyers bounced back on Saturday afternoon from their first loss, beating visiting Robert Morris 60-51. DaRon Holmes II paced Dayton with 18 points and three blocks while Toumani Camara had 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Wisconsin last played on Nov. 15, grinding out a 56-45 win over visiting Green Bay. The Badgers led 32-15 at the break and were never seriously threatened, but they shot just 30.2% for the night. Jordan Davis scored 11 points to lead the way and Steven Crowl had nine points and nine rebounds.
This will be just the second meeting between Dayton and Wisconsin, which won the lone game 105-93 in the championship game of the ECAC Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 28, 1961.
