The two conference foes each won their first matches in CAA play earlier this season, with the home side Huskies earning a 2-1 victory over Elon to open conference play last week. Northeastern is 1-1-2 in the early going, drawing their last contest against Quinnipiac. Drexel, on other hand, is 2-1-1 after suffering their first defeat against LaFayette earlier this week. Northeastern battled back in an entertaining matchup against Quinnipiac to earn a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night at Parsons Field. Both teams scored goals in the first 25 minutes of the match, with the Bobcats taking the lead early in the second half.

However, in the 82nd minute, Ryan Massoud scored his first goal of the season for the Huskies as they found a late equalizer.
As for Drexel, the Dragons couldn’t find the scoring touch despite four shots on target in a 2-0 loss to LaFayette. The Leopards scored bookend goals in the 11th minute courtesy of Lawrence Aydlett and then in the 88th minute from Marcos Kitromildes.
Northeastern will now host Drexel in a CAA match at Parsons Field in Brookline on Saturday.
