No. 11 Indiana (5-0) played Wednesday night, took the holiday off and is right back at it on Friday. The Hoosiers host Jackson State (0-4) at Assembly Hall on Friday afternoon. The Tigers were on the road Wednesday night and continue their 14-game season-opening road trip on Friday. Mike Woodson is in his second season coaching at Indiana, where he was a member of the 1981 NCAA championship team, and is 26-14, taking the Hoosiers to the NCAA tournament last year for the first time since 2016. Longtime NBA player Mo Williams is in his first year at Jackson State after going 13-35 the last two seasons at Alabama State.

Indiana never trailed Wednesday night in an 87-68 victory over visiting Little Rock. Race Thomspon had 20 points and eight rebounds, Jordan Geronimo posted 11 points and five blocks and Xavier Johnson dished 10 assists.

The Tigers led for much of the first half at Michigan on Wednesday night before the Wolverines outscored them 17-5 over the final 6:08 to take a 10-point lead at intermission en route to a 78-68 win. Gabe Watson paced Jackson State with 19 points and had eight rebounds while Trace Young added 13 points and 10 boards. Ken Evans dropped in 12 points to go with five assists.

This is the second meeting in as many seasons between the Hoosiers and the Tigers. Indiana won the first meeting between the programs on Dec. 23 in Bloomington 70-35.
