Louisville heads south to take on UCF in a Friday night game in college football, an exciting matchup between ACC and AAC squads. The Cardinals head to UCF looking to avoid their second straight loss after they were upset by Syracuse 31-7 on Saturday. They were completely shut down by the Orange and scored just a single touchdown in the first quarter. That touchdown cut the lead to 10-7, but they would give up 21 straight points to end the game. The Knights had a much better game to open the season as they whipped South Carolina State 56-10. It was a good first win, but Friday’s game will be much tougher.

The win against the Bulldogs was John Rhys Plumlee’s first game for the Knights after transferring from Ole Miss. Plumlee had a great game as he went 20-for-31 for 308 yards and four touchdowns.

The Cardinals will need to find a way to slow him down but also get their quarterback going. Malik Cunningham came into the season with a lot of expectations but struggled against the Orange as he threw two interceptions and didn’t account for a single touchdown.

These two teams played last year with the Cardinals coming away with a wild 42-35 win. On Friday, the Knights will look to avenge that loss and get their second straight win.
