Miami scored twice in the top of the ninth on Thursday, going ahead on Brian Anderson’s RBI single to win at Philadelphia 6-5. The Mets outscored the Pirates 15-1 on Wednesday to sweep their doubleheader after Monday’s game was rained out.

The Marlins will give the ball to rookie Edward Cabrera on Friday. In nine starts, the right-hander is 4-2 with a 2.39 ERA and 1.061 WHIP with 55 strikeouts in 49 innings. He took no decision in a loss at Atlanta on Saturday, allowing one run in five innings.

With Max Scherzer on the injured list, New York is likely to send left-hander David Peterson to the bump.
