In what has become a regular tradition at this point, the Egg Bowl will take place in Oxford on Thanksgiving night. It will be the 119th playing of the SEC rivalry between Mississippi State (7-4, 3-4 SEC) and No. 20 Ole Miss (8-3, 4-3). One of the longest uninterrupted series in both the SEC and the nation, it has been played every year since 1944, beginning in 1901. Ole Miss has historically dominated the series, with 64 wins to Mississippi State’s 45 and six ties. The Rebels have won the last two years, with a 31-21 victory last season, and 31-24 the year before that.
