Former Flyers captain Claude Giroux returned to Wells Fargo Center on Saturday and had a pair of assists in Ottawa’s 4-1 win. Kevin Hayes scored first for Philadelphia before Cam Talbot took away everything the Flyers tried afterward, stopping 37 shots.

The Stars got two goals in the first period from Jamie Benn, but San Jose scored three unanswered tallies across the second and third periods to win Friday night at Dallas 5-4. Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski scored for the Stars in the third to make it close, but the comeback stalled. The Stars outshot the Sharks 29-18, but Oettinger was shaky in his first action since Oct. 29.

Dallas has won the last four meetings with the Flyers and is 17-11-12 since the club moved to Texas before the 1993-94 season.
