Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bring some new additions to the game, which means there’s a lot of new pocket monsters out there that can be collected and battled against. When battling against certain Pokemon, it’s unclear what type they are initially, so learning which moves you should use is very important! If you want to know what Orthworm’s weaknesses are then we’ll walk you through them in this guide.
If you want to see all of the weaknesses and strengths of any Pokemon, head to our Pokemon Type Chart guide!
Orthworm is a Steel-type Pokemon, which means they have weaknesses to Fighting, Ground, and Fire-type moves. It is immune to Poison-type moves, and is resistant to Normal, Flying, Rock, Bug, Steel, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type attacks.
While any Fighting, Ground, and Fire-type moves will be sufficient to finish off Orthworm, you will want to focus on Special Attack moves if you have them. Orthworm has a very high Physical Defense, which means you will have much better luck using Special Attacks.
As for specific Pokemon you want to avoid bringing into battle against Orthworm, you will want to make sure to leave Fairy, Ice, and Rock out. They all have at least one weakness to Orthworm’s attacks. Orthworm also carries Ground and Rock moves, so be careful with Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, Steel, Bug, and Ice Pokemon.
That’s everything you need to know about the moves that will be best used against Orthworm. For more detailed guides, be sure to head to the Pokemon section of our website.
