Transfer news LIVE! Jesus to Arsenal agreed; Spurs in Raphinha bid; De Ligt to Chelsea FC latest gossip, rumours

Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all lining up big-money deals as the transfer window steps up another gear with a return to pre-season now only days away. Things will likely ramp up with the new campaign in sight once again.

All three London clubs are battling for the signing of Leeds United star Raphinha, with Todd Boehly now personally overseeing a deal to potentially bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge alongside Raheem Sterling. Man City teammate Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, is another to have been linked with all three, although Arsenal’s talks with the striker are said to be progressing.

Tottenham have so far been one of the busiest clubs in the window, bringing three players to Antonio Conte’s revolution and reports claim the manager wants a new forward signed before the end of next week with Steven Bergwijn heading to Ajax and Harry Winks in talks with Everton.

Chelsea lead race for De Ligt

Chelsea are first in line to sign Matthijs de Ligt, according to reports in Italy.

Calciomercato claim Juventus want to reduce De Ligt’s wage while tying him down to a longer-term contract – which doesn’t sound too appealing.

Chelsea are monitoring the situation, with Thomas Tuchel having made the defender his first-choice target at the back.

Arsenal turn to Fabian Ruiz

Arsenal have added Napoli star Fabian Ruiz to their list of summer transfer targets, according to reports in Italy.

Corriere dello Sport claim Manchester City and Newcastle are also sniffing around the Spain international.

Napoli have put a £26million price tag on Ruiz’s head with only one year remaining on his contract.

ICYMI: Chelsea players want Richarlison

Some members of the Chelsea squad are urging Thomas Tuchel to move for Everton forward Richarlison, claims The Sun.

Tottenham have also been linked with the Brazilian forward, who is said to be keen to leave Goodison Park this summer.

Spurs are currently in talks with Everton over a move for Harry Winks the opposite way, which could prove an ace up their sleeve in any deal for Richarlison.

Arsenal medical booked

Matt Turner will undergo his medical with Arsenal today before finalising a move from New England Revolution.

Sky Sports reports that the 27-year-old goalkeeper is in London to put pen to paper on a deal to become Aaron Ramsdale’s back-up.

He recently told reporters: “I’m coming in to push him and become the best goalkeeper I can become, while also making him the best goalkeeper he can become. That’s really my goal for it all.”

Spurs want new forward before Bergwijn sold

Tottenham have agreed a £21.5m deal with Ajax to stell Steven Bergwijn, and want a new forward in before he is sold.

The deal is expected to be completed “on or after July 1”, which does not leave much time for this new forward to be signed, sealed and delivered.

That’s according to The Athletic, with journalist Charlie Eccleshare added: “Still work to be done, but if those last details can be agreed then this will be a significant sale.”

Spurs and Man United battle for Pau Torres

Pau Torres is very likely to move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United and Tottenham linked.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who said: “For Pau Torres, they know he has a release clause of around €60m (£52m), but they also know that Villarreal would be willing to negotiate for something less than this.

“It could be around €45m-€50m (£38m-£43m). So they have all the conditions set, and they have had some conversations with intermediaries working on this deal.

“I see Pau Torres playing in the Premier League next season because it’s a serious possibility, but at the moment, it’s still not something advanced between clubs.”

Neymar offered to Barca

In a wild transfer rumour this morning, El Chiringuito TV claim that Neymar has been offered to Barcelona for €50million (£43m).

It follows quotes from PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi which were not exactly reassuring regarding the Brazilian’s future.

“Is Neymar part of the new project or not? We can’t speak about this in public as some players will arrive, some players will leave the club,” he told Marca.

“These are private negotiations.”

ICYMI – West Ham confident of Alphonse Areola deal

West Ham confident they will sign Alphonse Areola

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, Sky Sports reporter Dhamersh Sheth has revealed the club are confident of landing Alphonse Areola despite interest from Fulham and Newcastle.

“The noises I’m hearing today are about Areola and an increased confidence that they can get that one done,” he said.

“And a feeling that he wants to fight for the first-team place next season, because he was effectively your cup goalkeeper, wasn’t he, last season.

“I think he wants to fight Fabianski for that first-team jersey.”

Chelsea want Liverpool guru Michael Edwards

Michael Edwards has been hailed for all of his success in the transfer market while at Liverpool.

While Jurgen Klopp naturally takes most of the plaudits, Edwards’ ability to spot a bargain in the shape of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, as well as sign exactly the right players at the right time has been a huge part of the club’s success.

Now, according to ESPN, Chelsea are eager to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

There are major changes happening under Todd Boehly and Edwards could come in to help shape the club’s new direction.
